Acceptable Use Policy

LinkOut pages are public and reach a lot of people. This policy keeps them safe for the people who visit them and for the creators who share the platform. It is part of our Terms of Service. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, it probably is not; ask us first.

1. Content that is not allowed

• Adult content. Pornography, sexually explicit material, and links whose primary purpose is to reach such material are banned, including on age-gated pages. LinkOut is not a platform for adult creators.
• Scams and phishing. Fake giveaways, investment schemes, crypto "doubling", impersonated login pages, fake customer support, and anything designed to trick people out of money or credentials.
• Malware and harmful code. Files or links that install malware, exploit browsers, mine cryptocurrency, or bypass security.
• Spam. Mass-created pages, link farms, keyword stuffing, pages that exist only to manipulate search engines, or using email capture to send unsolicited mail.
• Hate, harassment and violence. Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality; threats; doxxing; glorification of violence or terrorism.
• Illegal goods and services. Drugs, weapons, counterfeit products, stolen data, fake documents, gambling where it is unlawful, and anything else illegal where you or your visitors are.
• Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, brand or organisation, or using a handle that misleads people about who you are. Parody must be clearly labelled.
• Copyright and trademark infringement. Publishing or selling content you do not have the rights to. See our DMCA policy.
• Self-harm and dangerous acts. Content that encourages self-harm, eating disorders or dangerous challenges.
• Deceptive commerce. Listing products you cannot deliver, hidden charges, fake reviews or testimonials.

2. Behaviour that is not allowed

• Creating accounts by automated means or in bulk.
• Registering handles to resell them or to block someone else from using their name.
• Hiding or removing the LinkOut badge on the Free plan.
• Circumventing plan limits, rate limits or moderation actions, including by creating new accounts after termination.
• Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Service without written permission. If you found a security issue, email support@linkout.bio; we take reports seriously and will not pursue good-faith researchers.
• Scraping other creators' pages or audience data.
• Using AutoDM or email features to send unsolicited messages, or in breach of Meta's or your email provider's rules.

3. Things that need extra care

• Alcohol, tobacco and vaping: allowed where legal, and you must enable the age gate on your page.
• Financial, health and legal advice: allowed with clear disclaimers; do not promise outcomes.
• Fundraising: say who you are, what the money is for, and how it will be handled.
• Affiliate links: allowed; follow the disclosure rules of the programme and your country.

4. Enforcement

We rely on reports from visitors (every page has a Report link), automated signals, and our own review. Depending on severity we may:

1. Email you a warning and ask you to fix the content within a set time.
2. Hide a specific block or link.
3. Suspend the page. Visitors see a notice; you keep dashboard access to fix it.
4. Terminate the account and reclaim the handle. Serious cases (child safety, malware, active fraud) skip straight here and may be reported to authorities.

If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice or email support@linkout.bio. A person reviews every appeal.

5. Reporting

Use the Report link at the bottom of any page or go to linkout.bio/report. Include the handle and what is wrong. Reports are confidential; we do not tell the creator who reported them.
