Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Blackwood Enterprises Private Limited ("LinkOut", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at D50, Supremework Co-Working Space, 100 Ft. Road, Chhattarpur, New Delhi 110047, India. They govern your use of the LinkOut website, dashboard, public pages at linkout.bio, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use LinkOut

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create an account. If you are using LinkOut for a business or another organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your account

• Sign-in is through Google only. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Anything done through your LinkOut account is treated as done by you.
• One person, one account. You may create additional pages within your account subject to your plan limits.
• Handles (for example linkout.bio/yourname) are allocated first come, first served. We may reclaim handles that are inactive, that impersonate someone, that infringe a trademark, or that we reasonably believe were registered to resell. We reserve a list of words that cannot be used as handles.
• Tell us at support@linkout.bio if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Plans, trials and payment

LinkOut has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. New accounts may start a 7-day Pro trial without a payment method. When the trial ends, your account returns to Free unless you subscribe. Pro-only blocks are hidden from your public page but their settings are kept, and they reappear if you upgrade later.

Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments handles checkout, taxes, invoicing and payment method storage under its own terms. Prices are shown before you pay and may be set per region. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

All Pro payments are final. We do not offer refunds or partial refunds for unused time. See our Refund Policy for details. We may change Pro pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal.

4. Selling through your page

LinkOut lets you sell bookings, digital products, memberships and physical goods using your own payment accounts (for example Stripe, PayPal or Razorpay). When you do this you are the merchant. LinkOut is a software tool and is not a party to any transaction between you and your customers. You are responsible for:

• the accuracy of your listings, prices, taxes and shipping;
• delivering what you sell and handling refunds, chargebacks and disputes with your customers;
• complying with consumer, tax and export laws where you and your customers are located;
• the terms of your payment provider, and keeping your API keys valid.

LinkOut charges no platform fee on your sales. Your payment provider's own fees still apply. We store your payment provider credentials encrypted and use them only to create checkouts and verify payments on your behalf.

5. Your content

You own the content you publish through LinkOut (text, images, video, files, product listings, and so on). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and transmit that content solely to operate, promote and improve the Service, for as long as it remains on the Service. This includes showing your public page to visitors and, if you opt in, featuring it in our templates gallery or discover directory.

You confirm you have the rights needed to publish your content and that it complies with our Acceptable Use Policy. We do not pre-screen content but we may remove or hide content that breaches these Terms.

6. Visitor data you collect

When visitors submit email addresses, bookings, orders or form answers on your page, you are the controller of that data and LinkOut processes it on your behalf. You must have a lawful basis for collecting it, present accurate consent wording, honour unsubscribe and deletion requests, and only export or sync it to services you are entitled to use. We provide consent logging and unsubscribe links to help you.

7. Acceptable use

Our Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. In short: no adult content, no scams, no malware, no spam, no hate, no impersonation, no infringement, nothing illegal. We may warn you, hide or suspend a page, or terminate an account for breaches, with or without notice depending on severity.

8. Free plan branding

Pages on the Free plan display a small "Make your own LinkOut" badge. You may not remove, hide or obscure it by any means other than upgrading to Pro.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep LinkOut available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change or retire features. If we retire a paid feature we will give reasonable notice. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or to protect it from abuse.

10. Termination

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period during which you can change your mind; after that your data is permanently removed as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, are inactive for more than 24 months on the Free plan, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, themes, templates and trademarks, belongs to Blackwood Enterprises Private Limited or its licensors. You may use our themes and templates only as part of your LinkOut page. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing service using our materials.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that analytics are perfectly accurate, that emails will always be delivered, or that third-party services (Google, Dodo Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Meta, Vercel, Neon, Resend) will remain available.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blackwood Enterprises Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 5,000 if you have paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Blackwood Enterprises Private Limited against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your sales to your customers, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence. Before going to court, please email us; most issues are resolved in a few messages.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will email account holders or show a notice in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms.
